Grace Bowl-a-Rama
Our annual Bowl-a-Rama will take place on Sunday, February 21, from 1:30-3:00 p.m. at Riviera Lanes, located at 8600 W. Greenfield Ave. The cost of only $5 includes 2 games, and shoes! Each family unit is asked to bring a snack to share - chips/dip, etc. (popcorn not allowed) - and a men's or women's coat, jacket or clothing item to be donated to a local charity. All participants are to wear at least one wacky clothing item. Sign up at the counter in the Parish Center or in the Grace Center lobby, or email fritzjhorn @ gracedowntown.org. Join the fun!
Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT)
Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT) is now available for use by Grace members. What is EFT? It's an automated giving program that allows a pre-authorized withdrawal from your bank account – weekly, semi-weekly, or monthly - the option is yours. The withdrawal is automatically deposited to the Grace bank account into the fund you select. Why EFT? You won't need to worry about forgotten checkbooks or envelopes or missed Sunday offerings. Grace benefits by a more consistent, predictable revenue and more efficient bookkeeping. How do you sign up? Forms are available in the Parish Center – simply fill one out and place it into the offering plate or send it to Grace Lutheran Church, attn: Cate. Nooma: Whirlwind
A lot of us have gone through times in our lives that are difficult. Some have been small and hard to understand and some have been big and overwhelming. During these times we want answers. We want to know why. Why do we have to suffer? Why do bad things happen to good people? We just want someone to make sense of it all. But we don't always get the answers. Sometimes we are left wondering. And those can be some of the most difficult times. Maybe there are times we need to be released from having to have all the answers. And maybe it's when we're released that we are able see there may be more going on here than we realize. Come to the Grace Place coffee shop on Saturday, February 20 from 9 – 10 a.m. for a casual discussion of this topic based on a Christian DVD series called Nooma. Everyone is welcome to attend.
